Truthspeaking On A Thanksgiving Day In Seoul, South Korea
Tract #1 of the Treasures For East Asia series
v1d, Oct. 9, 2006. Copyright 2006 by Roddy Kenneth Street, Jr.
Greetings from a long-distance traveler!
I'm the Earth-Trekker still, it would seem. I'm busy again with my global explorations... still a diligent pilgrim who is making some progress toward the discovery of a New World.
Hello, friend. How are things going for you? I hope you feel really blessed today as you go about the activities of your own life.
I seem to meet no one but pilgrims on this road. The men and the women— even the children— are all hurrying and trying to get to another place. All of them are hurrying on the way to one goal or another. Everybody is on his way to somewhere else.
My name is Ken Street, and I'm a long-distance voyager who has recently moved to South Korea. I've been an Earth-Trekker for many years, so when I'm on the internet I've often used that label as my nickname.
Like you, I'm just a humble pilgrim in this country. I'm a stranger in a strange land, and I'm passing through here on my way to another world. I'm traveling on the Earth for a few years before I reach my final destination.
My goal is a very high and heavenly location that is far nicer than anything this weary old Earth has to offer. I guess that's true for every trekker on this planet, isn't it?
Are you just "a poor wayfaring stranger, traveling through this world of woe," like so many others? I myself am a poor wayfaring stranger on this planet, and so is every person on this Earth. But happily, there is no sickness, toil, or danger in that high, good land to which I go.
And even more happily, there is a Jew named Jesus who is always a "Good Samaritan"— always taking time to rescue people. He is the one who stopped and reached down to help me when I was terribly injured, beaten up by evil powers of this world and by human violence. Satan's demons had terrorized me for years, and they thought that they had finished me... that I was too near death to ever be able to get up again.
But then along came Jesus, a shepherd who likes to rescue lost and dying people— people who are beaten up by misfortunes, just like I was. Jesus saved me when I lay hurt and dying on the side of the road. Jesus nursed me back to health and put me back on the trail to Heaven. He's the Truth and He's the Way, and I just can't stop myself.
Ever since He rescued me, He's been my greatest hero— the person I most admire— and I just can't help talking about Him.
I arrived in South Korea wearing a cap labeled "Providence." It's a dark blue baseball-style cap that I got as a free gift, many years ago, from the Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. I'm counting on God's Providence for guidance, and I'm counting on Him to look after me while I'm staying in South Korea.
Today, as I write this material, it is October 5, 2006, and this is the South Korean Thanksgiving Day. I'm sitting at my desk in a Seoul residence as I write these words, and I'm thinking truthfully that all Christians in South Korea have a lot to be thankful about. We can be thankful that we aren't dominated by an anti-Christian religion like the one in North Korea, and we can be thankful that God has granted to us much more prosperity than what is seen in the evolution-worshiping nations to the north.
We can be thankful to God that Islamic terrorists have not started attacking Christians in South Korea with atrocities of the magnitude with which they have attacked Christians in the United States and England, or as they have ceaselessly attacked the Jews in Israel. We can be glad that there is not a persecution of Christians here in South Korea, even though there have been many such persecutions in the history of the world, especially in the Communist and Islamic nations of our world.
As an aspiring follower of Jesus Christ, I am particularly grateful to God for the growth of our little Street Tracts ministry under the leadership of Rev. Dr. W. S. Vedha and a number of other Christian pastors.
Have you heard the good news about our Street Tracts International Mission? It's a non-profit Christian ministry effort that's being blessed by God with a rather rapid rate of growth and a global impact.
Thanks to the Lord God's Providence, a lot is happening now. His Holy Spirit has connected us with the R. K. Street Tracts League of India, led by Rev. Dr. W. S. Vedha, who is the highly accredited pastor (M.Th., Ph.D., D.D.) of the Bethel Baptist Church in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu State, South India. He had lots of journalism training in his youth, so he has now become the director of India's fast-growing Mass Media Gospel Mission.
He is also the publisher and translation director for 12 booklets in our News For South Asia series of evangelism tracts. We have some great news to report! The battle against the Darkness is going well! We have now printed and distributed our first 100,000 Street Tracts for India, with translations made into 4 different languages of India: Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi!
The first 5 booklets of the News For South Asia series have been published in a Tamil translation, with 50,000 copies already printed and distributed to the Tamil-speaking people of South India, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia! Most recently, Rev. Dr. W. S. Vedha's Mass Media Gospel Mission has produced 20,000 copies in Hindi for the Hindi-speaking people in 8 states of northern India. But there are over 1 billion people in India, and less than 2% are Christians, so we need to publish a lot more! Rev. Dr. Vedha's Mass Media Gospel Mission can produce about 20 of our booklets for every $1 (US) that is given to his Street Tracts ministry, and that's a super bargain. But donations for this work are greatly needed!
Plans are already underway for the printing of 2 more translations for South Asia: 1 in Sinhalese language for the nation of Sri Lanka, and 1 in Nepali language for the nation of Nepal.
Our Street Tracts are also starting to be distributed now, by the grace of God, in 2 African nations: Nigeria and Ghana. African evangelists are now getting our Truth For The Fighters & Survivors of Africa series of tracts only in an English version. But Christian volunteers there have said that they are now starting to create new translations into African languages like Tiv, Yoruba, and Akan.
Also exciting is the news that our evangelism tracts in the series Treasures For Native American Indian Tribes should soon be going out to the American Indians in the region of Oklahoma, USA.
We've lately had some circulating also in Williamsburg and Philadelphia, two of the early and foundational cities of the U.S. And even a few in London, England. We hope and pray that God's Holy Spirit will give these seeds the Water of Life, and that He will shine on them with the warm light of Jesus Christ, Who is the Sun of Heaven and the Light of the World. We keep planting the seeds, but Jesus is the Holy One Who makes them grow.
I'm hopeful that many Christians and churches in South Korea will soon choose to contribute financial aid to the evangelism work that is now underway in Africa and Nepal, in India and in Sri Lanka. The latter two are the nations where Buddhism originated— from which the Buddhist religion came to the minds of people in Korea, Japan, and China. Now we have a great chance to bring Christian grace (a rescue in Jesus Christ) to the troubled hearts and minds of people still living in the original lands of Hinduism and Buddhism! I hope Korean Christians here, in many Korean churches, will be eager to assist us in this very important evangelism effort!
As a long-time writer and a long-time follower of Jesus Christ, I'm now wishing to live and work in South Korea for the next couple of years. I'm hoping to find suitable work here, and I am hoping that I will be able to share my faith and my communication talents with the population of South Korea.
My primary talents are simply those of a Christian writer and an English speaker, but I am hoping to put my skills to good use while I'm here. I want to share with everyone my confidence in Jesus and my faith in Him as the Savior of the entire world. He's the greatest hero the world has ever seen, the Rescuer of Humanity, and I want to help publicize His accomplishments. The whole world needs to be made aware of the magnitude of His achievements! So I'm trying to get the message out to everyone I meet here in South Korea. It's a big task. You can follow my progress by frequently checking the free internet sites MyEnglishKorea.com and JesusFishes.net.
Imagine Jesus fishing with a big net that's really full. . . and you should be able to remember the site-name for our free Christian message booklets.
Are you a non-Christian Korean with a strong desire to study and learn the English language? I hope you will try reading all the free evangelism messages that I've written for JesusFishes.net. There are more than 80 of them posted there for online reading. I think that these can help you to improve your English ability. They are good for advanced English students and for anyone who is a very diligent student of the English language. For the best results, try reading the English version of our News For South Asia series of messages aloud while you are in front of your computer.
Are you a Christian Korean who already has a considerable talent in the English language? Then maybe you can help me with the expansion of my tracts ministry! I'm looking for talented Korean Christians who can donate some time for a translation of my evangelism tracts into the languages of Korea, Japan, and China. The tracts are given away freely in the name of Christ, and my translators always have to donate their time freely in the same way that I have myself.
If you are a devoted Korean believer in Christ and you don't mind doing free volunteer work for Jesus, please contact me by an e-mail sent to "Ken Street" <etracts@ yahoo.com> or by a telephone message left with someone at our Seoul phone: 3472-9126.
I'd love to get some help from the people already living in the nation of South Korea, and I know you can greatly assist me with these projects! I look forward to talking with you again (by written message, by voice, or by e-mail), and may God bless each of us in this encounter!
Christ blesses all the Earth, every person— all the world, every one— as He rescues us from sin, Death, and Hell. Jesus does this by opening up for us an easy path to Heaven! All God The Father requires of us is that we recognize the sacrifice of His Son and be truly grateful for it— that we be thankful for the earthly visit of God The Son and for His painful death upon a wooden cross! It was a voluntary sacrifice in which Jesus lay down His life for all His friends. But God raised Him up from the grave so that He might take up His life again. He came back in a new and restored form, in a glorified Resurrection Body... and with a powerful proof of His own message!
It was a terrible death of excruciating pain and extreme suffering, one in which Jesus actually died in torment and agony. He died upon a human-engineered instrument of torture and humiliation... but God The Father transformed His horrible experience into a grand and glorious result!
God The Father brought Jesus back to life again in a new and glorified Resurrection Body. He honors His Son as the Universal Hero, the Savior Who rescues humanity...all the people of the Earth... anyone who has faith in the Divine Son of God. He is the Sinless Son, the Holy One of Israel. Jesus Christ, the Light of the World.
By His reappearance, Jesus conquered Death and Hell, allowing us to see a New Dawn and a New Route to Heaven... the Way of Jesus Christ. By His resurrection and the display of His glorified Resurrection Body, Jesus became the First Fruits offering of God and one of the first examples of the fruitful harvest that will arrive with the Resurrection Day that is yet to come.
In His Resurrection Body, we Christians can see the new kind of Resurrection Body that awaits all True Believers... it's a still-future blessing of God for all the devoted followers of Jesus Christ. This is a future reward of Heaven that is appointed for the afterlife of all dead Christian believers, and also for those who are to be caught up in a soon-coming Rapture of the living Christian population of our Earth. The glorified Resurrection Body of Jesus displays for us the eternal magnificence of the glorious Resurrection Bodies that God will one day provide for all the faithful followers of His Son Jesus. God really knows how to provide some great presents for His children!
No one knows God The Father except His Holy Son (Jesus Christ), Who has seen both Heaven and Earth. But you can see the Father God of Heaven when you look into the face of Jesus Christ, the Holy Son of God. He's part of a Divine Trinity that is composed of God The Father, God The Son, & God The Spirit! He is eternally God The Son, and He existed with God before Abraham was born, before Adam came to life, and before the angels were even created!
In my own native country (the U.S.), people have often said of rich people that they are "living on Easy Street." To be honest, I cannot say that all Christians in the world are so blessed that they are always "living on Easy Street." Christians often suffer great persecution in our world. They can be afflicted with troubles, poverty, and diseases, just like so many other people in the world. Since Satan loves to make trouble for a Christian, life isn't always a matter of just "living on Easy Street."
But what is amazing is that Jesus Christ has opened up for us an Easy Street to Heaven. It's what we call "the Way" of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul called himself "a follower of the Way." Paul knew very well that Jesus Christ is the Route to Heaven, and it's the only way that works. Jesus said, "I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life." He is the Door Who allows you to enter the Presence of God, and He is the Road to Heaven.
Jesus said, "No one comes to the Father God except through Me." That means He is the Only Way to the God of Heaven, and He is the Only Way you can ever enter the Holy Presence of God!
By His sacrifice on a cross of torture... by the cleansing power of His Holy Blood... Jesus has provided all humanity with an "easy street" for reaching Heaven. As a follower of the Way, I can know that I will ultimately reach the High Kingdom of the Almighty God in Heaven. That's the final destination of every true believer of Christ. It's the destination of the pilgrim's progress.
We Christians must be truly grateful to Jesus for His rescue, because He has saved us from Death and Hell, and He has for us blazed a new path to Heaven. The narrow path that Jesus blazed has become the only Road to Heaven. It's an "easy street" that will take us upward to Golden Streets of Heaven. We may have a hard life here on Earth, but Jesus has given us an "easy street" to the glorious Kingdom of Heaven and to His glorious New Jerusalem!
When we get to Heaven, we really will be "living on Easy Street," after a fashion, because the streets of the New Jerusalem are paved with gold, and the Tree of Life will provide its fruit in every month of the year.
But it's probably more accurate to think, as I sometimes do, that then we will be "living on Sunday Street."
You see, Heaven's New Jerusalem will give us a nice time to rest, just like Sunday does for Christians, and just like Saturday (the Sabbath) does for the Jews. Heaven's outstanding feature will be the Light of God illuminating everything at all times, because there is no more night in the New Jerusalem. Then the Sun of Heaven (Jesus Christ) will reign over all, and His servants will serve Him forevermore.
So that's why I like to say that someday, when this weary old Earth-Trekker gets to Heaven (the New Jerusalem), I'm going to be "living on Sunday Street." The Sun of Heaven will never be dimmed nor diminished, and it will not go down like our earthly sun.
We need to be truly grateful for that prospect. We follow the Way of Jesus, and because we do, we are greatly blessed by God. God The Father credits us with the Righteousness of His Son Jesus— even though we don't deserve it— and because of this, we will one day enter the Kingdom of Jesus. In a future day we will enter His Heavenly Kingdom and see His New City of Peace. In a future day, we will see the paradise of His New Earth. We should be endlessly grateful to our Lord Jesus, day after day, for all of eternity! Hallelujah!
On this South Korean Thanksgiving Day, the thing for which we need to be most thankful is the voluntary sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the Hero of God, the Savior of Humanity, the Holy One Who rescues the human race from Death and Hell! Jesus gives us the hope of an eternity in High Heaven, and in the New Paradise of God... so that we won't have instead the prospect of an eternity of despair in the depths of Hell!
And as other days of the year go by, we should continue to be grateful to our Lord Jesus, remaining ever-vigilant and dutiful as servants and soldiers of our great Lord.
Heaven is a reward which God The Father has reserved for the followers of God The Son. It is a place where His servants will praise Him eternally and will forever serve Christ. God The Son (Jesus Christ) is the Sun of Heaven, and He is the Light of the New Jerusalem. Jesus is the Truth. Jesus is the Light of the World, and so He is a lamp that lights our path as we follow His Way to Heaven.
It's the only way to get to Heaven, a road that is like no other, a road that will ultimately take you to the High Kingdom of Heaven and the realm of Almighty God. The King of Heaven and Earth is Jesus Christ... Who is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. His palace awaits us at the end of our earthly journey, and there He will welcome us into His Eternal Kingdom.
That's where this old Earth-Trekker is headed. I'm hiking toward the heights of Heaven, and I'm getting closer every day. I hope to see you in Heaven when I get there!
Not that I'm bragging, of course. I don't have much to boast about, except the fact that Jesus Christ has graciously saved me from an endless tour of Hell.
I've had a lot of trouble in life, but Jesus is my superhero, and He often rescues me when I get into a bad spot. I've got to love Him for that, and I've got to be glad that He calls me a friend. Wow! Just think about that. I am a friend of God. And you can be too!
Jesus is the Sinless Son of God, and He's the Only One Who can make that claim. Jesus was Sinless because He was/is eternally One with the Father God of Heaven. He's the Holy One of Israel!
Humans aren't perfect, and we can't reach the level of a Holy God except when Jesus Christ makes that possible for us. Through Jesus, we are able to enter the family of God, Who will then call us His Children, "the sons and daughters of God." Amazingly, Jesus will then call us not only His "friends," but His "brothers and sisters." Imagine being called "a brother of Jesus."
Is that cool, or what? You've got to be grateful to a Lord like that! But it's also a big responsibility, and frankly, Jesus doesn't want any unfruitful trees in His Garden! So I try not to be lazy, because I don't want to be a useless tree that's "chopped down and thrown into the fire." I don't want to be a "wicked and lazy servant" of the sort that gets rejected by the Lord of Heaven!
I just arrived in Korea one day ago, on Oct. 4, and I got here, in God's Providence (and without any advance awareness of it) just as the South Korean Thanksgiving Day was about to be celebrated. By an odd coincidence, I just happen to have brought with me a bunch of bilingual tract booklets that I wrote a couple of years ago for Korean people in the area of Williamsburg, Virginia... the place of our former home. These evangelism booklets are titled Thanksgiving And The Time Of God's Harvest, which is translated as ------- ------- ------- ----. The message is a modified version of the first tract I ever wrote, which was earlier titled as Divine Selection: God's Developmental Program For Earth. These were leftover copies that I thought I might give away in Korea until I have a chance to print up some new booklets with up-to-date info on the back cover.
It's hard to deny that this is an appropriate time to bring such booklets into South Korea. The English material was written by me about 2 and ½ years ago, and the Korean translation was written out by Nan-Sook Kim. Both the Korean and English language material is found on each page of the tract booklets.
I only had about 23 copies left of this Korean-language tract when I departed Mount Airy for the Richmond airport and South Korea, so I just brought these along with me... even though the contact info on the back cover gives a reader only out-of-date data about our old address in Williamsburg and our old Williamsburg telephone number. I thought I might be able to pass these last few Korean booklets out to Korean people while I'm trying to get some new ones printed up, ready for distribution in the great nation of South Korea.
There will be more of them coming soon. It's just a matter of time... and determination. I realized many years ago that it is God Himself Who is the Destiny Wizard... not the ambitious little fellow named Ken Street.
If I ever again feel uncertain about my blessings and about the things for which I should be grateful, I will have to think back to this South Korean Thanksgiving Day... and then I will surely remember what life is all about.
It's all about being grateful to Jesus Christ, the Only Holy Son of God, Whose heroic sacrifice on a wooden cross brings us hope for the future... the prospect of a better life... and the rewards of Heaven. It's about showing respect for the divinity and heroism of God The Son...a simple act of faith by which we can please the Father God of Heaven.
When we honor God The Son, we greatly please the Father God of Heaven, Who is naturally proud of His Son's mighty accomplishments on planet Earth. He then blesses even sinful human beings with the grace of His Salvation, bringing a long-sought rescue and uplift to all the embattled residents of the Earth. The humans of the Earth can then become God's own children, being adopted into the family of Jesus Christ. In this way, we can become brothers and sisters to the Holy Son of God... Jesus Christ Himself!
And amazingly, God has planned other presents for us as well, rewards that are yet to come... presents that are too grand and magnificent for us to even imagine! These are the riches that are yet to come...
Treasures are ahead of us which far exceed anything that this current Earth has to offer. We have marvelous things yet in store for us... treasures that we can not even imagine... treasures that are as yet unseen. These are the prospects of the world that is yet to come...
Jesus says that we must be always watching for His Return, because He may surprise us by coming at an hour when we do not expect Him... an hour when we are not ready.
He also says that the time of His Return will be like the days of Noah, when sin and immorality were rampant, when wickedness filled the Earth... just before the Flood came and washed the Earth clean. The Flood came and swept away all the wicked population of the Earth, with only Noah and his family left alive to start a new world. Jesus says that it will be just like the days of Noah at the time of His Return. The distress of those final days of the Old Earth will be greater than any the world has ever previously seen... and never again to be equaled.
When Jesus comes again, the war-weary world will again be washed clean, but this time it will be purged and purified with fire. Many will find only destruction and the Hell of the Second Death, but God will save a small Remnant for Himself... a Special Harvest that He calls His own.
This will be the Rescued Remnant of humankind, a group destined to find peace and contentment in God's own Heaven.
Out of all the world's wickedness, God will manage to bring a good result... His Special Harvest from among the human population of our Earth.
I don't want to be a tree that's chopped down and thrown into the fire for a lack of fruitfulness... and I doubt that you do either.
Let's serve God gladly while we still have the opportunity, because as Jesus said, "Soon the Night is coming, when no one can work."
We have to get our work done NOW, while we still have a chance to be effective, to accomplish something worthwhile for the benefit of the Earth.
I urge you to lift Jesus up TODAY, without delay, so that you become a fruitful tree in His orchard... a tree worth saving. By helping Jesus in His campaign to get people saved, you display your own faith and establish His Lordship in your life.
Make Jesus the Lord of your life TODAY, and then see what you can do to lift up His Holy Name before all the people of the Earth...
You may be surprised by how many people you can reach with a simple act of faith...
The Kingdom of God can start with a seed as little as a mustard seed... one of the tiniest of all seeds. But it will grow so fast that it will absolutely astound you...
As a soldier of Christ, you have to be ready to stand up and give an account of what you were doing during the time of deadly battle with the forces of Darkness. Make sure that you've spent your time well, so that you can give a good report to your royal Lord, the King of Heaven.
As with the legions of Satan, those who are cowards or traitors to the cause of Jesus Christ are not likely to receive much reward from the Lord of Glory.
Remember to serve the Lord of Heaven with a glad heart and a diligent spirit. Don't succumb to any negative thoughts you may have. Serve the Lord God with a glad heart, and be perfectly willing to die for Him in His battle against the forces of Darkness. Pass out a few evangelism tracts for the Lord God today, and you'll be glad you did.
Say to everyone, "Shalom, and Maranatha! Keep looking up at the sky! The Lord Jesus Christ is coming back SOON!"
You may have a much bigger impact on this troubled Earth than you will ever know... or ever even guess!
Jesus is a Miracle Worker and a Destiny Changer. All you have to do is lift Him up and watch Him do His stuff!
You'll be amazed at what Jesus can accomplish through a simple act of faith by a weak little human like yourself.
The Old Testament tells a story of how God once used a talking jackass to deliver an important message to a human being. Since He has already used a talking jackass to deliver a message from Heaven, you can be sure that God is equally able to use you for that very same purpose.
It doesn't require any great wisdom on your part. It just requires your simple confession of faith... and your trust in the power of God's Holy Spirit. He is the Holy One Who is your Provider... and He will provide you with the right words to speak.
Or maybe with just the right booklet to pass to your friend, to your co-worker, and even to a casual acquaintance. He can also provide you with the most appropriate tracts to hand out for a ministry of street evangelism.
You may be the one who plants the seeds, but it is the Sun of Heaven Himself Who makes them grow. He does this through the power of His Holy Spirit.
Just lift Him up, so that His Light shines fully on all who stand below, and you will see those seeds start to really rise and grow!
That's the Miracle Growth power of Jesus Christ! He not only heals the sick and gives sight to the blind— He can also raise up a mighty fine crop in the harvest field that He has chosen to tend!
Jesus is both a farmer and a fisherman. He's got a big net, and He knows just the right spot for it. You'll be surprised what He can catch with that net of His, if you just offer Him a little bit of assistance and a tiny bit of faith!
More power to you, brother! You know the Way of Jesus, so now go point it out to someone else! If Jesus is really the Lord of your life, you need to go out there and show somebody why you've made Him your king... and exactly why you've sworn allegiance to this Lord of Heaven.
This should be your main mission for TODAY, and for every day of your life. Then you'll have a life of true gratitude... and maybe other people will be happy to remember that you once helped them in their struggles as they were living on our Earth.
Earth-Trekker's Journal, Oct. 9, 2006: Yesterday was my first Sunday in Korea, after an absence of more than 20 years. I visited the Full Gospel Church of Yoido again and joined them for their Sunday morning worship service. This church, built under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Paul Yonggi Cho has been known for quite a few years now as having the world's largest Christian congregation. It is a Sunday morning church gathering that always includes multiple worship services, repeated again and again through the day. It was really nice to see one of their Sunday morning services again during these Thanksgiving holidays in South Korea, and it was quite inspirational to me.
While inside that giant church building of Seoul, I lifted up our tract booklets before the Lord— not only the ones for South Asia and the ones for Africa, but also the new ones for Korea. And I asked His blessing upon our evangelism tracts. I prayed that God would multiply them rapidly and send them out by the millions in India, Africa, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, and many other countries throughout the world.
There's not much time left, so I'm praying that they will reach vast numbers of people in the next 21 months. I'd like to see God use them to reach at least 4.5 billion people of the Earth's current population before 21 months have passed.
That's just a little over half the world's people. I figure it's a reasonable expectation, since God has already gotten that kind of result once before. Happily, God has used a single media project to reach that number of people one time already. I figure it's a reasonable expectation, since He did it already with Bill Bright's movie The Jesus Film... and I know I'm only asking something that should be in accordance with His will.
And as Pastor Yonggi Cho always says, we should expect big things from God, since He is Almighty.
I also prayed that the Christian churches of South Korea (and of the whole world likewise) will send a lot of financial aid to Rev. Dr. W. S. Vedha, so that he can print up a lot more than just 100,000 tracts for the 1,000,000,000 lost souls in India!
. . . Later in the day, I learned that North Korea has this morning, at about 10:15 a.m., conducted an underground test of its first nuclear weapon. The whole world is shocked, and it's a reminder that there may not be much time left for us to get the message out. People need to be informed about the salvation God offers us in Jesus Christ now, before our time of opportunity runs out. The U.S. may be far away from here, but Jesus is not, and I'm glad He is my ally and my rescuer. The final world war... and the Return of Jesus Christ to our embattled Earth... may be not so far away.
In the Holy Bible, God says, “All those who hate Me love death.” The followers of Jesus ask that you make the right choice today. Choose life rather than death.
Make the decision to honor Jesus Christ as the Divine and Ever-Holy Son of God. Make the decision to serve Him and to lift up His name before your friends and neighbors.
We hope you will choose an Eternal Lifetime with God in Heaven, because that is a great and desirable goal. The alternative is unpleasant even to consider.
No one who is in a sane state of mind would consciously and deliberately choose an eternity of dying in Hell and the permanent separation from God that awaits those who reject Jesus Christ. But that is what some people ultimately choose for themselves through ignorance and misconceptions... or through endless delays that result in years of inaction and uncertainty. Don’t miss your chance to honor God.
Right now is the best time for a new commitment to spiritual enlightenment! Right now there is an acceptable day for salvation. You have before you an opportunity to know that your soul is saved, an opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord.
Wouldn’t you rather serve a God Who loved you enough to even die for you? Can’t you trust a Father God Who would even sacrifice a beloved Son, in whom He was well pleased, so that you would never have to experience the torments of Hell?
His Son was tortured on a wooden cross so that you would never have to know the torments of Hell. Don’t be so ungrateful that you toss His gift right back at Him, saying to God Almighty, “No thanks. I have no use for Your gift, and no interest in Your Plan of Salvation.” Instead, give praise and honor to God’s Holy Son, as you know you should.
You gain Eternal Life with God by placing Jesus Christ, Who in the Trinity of God created our Universe, upon a throne at the center of your heart! He deserves that position and that kind of respect. He was first God The Son, but when born in human flesh He became the only sinless and righteous person who ever lived. Yet He sacrificed Himself on a cross for your sake, taking all guilt and sins upon Himself— for you and for me, and for all people everywhere on Earth— that whoever wishes for salvation might be rescued from the due punishment of sins.
If you will do this, you will gain a new contentment and peace as you accept God's organizational plan for the Universe. . . because you'll be letting God be the Ruler of All Things in this world. . . and in your own life.
All it really takes is a simple but sincere little prayer— one that you should make up in your own words. The prayer for deliverance and for God's leadership should come from your own heart!
Some important elements that you might include are:
1) your desire to turn away from all the wrongness or evil of your past life, and your remorse over all the sins of your previous life,
2) your desire for God's forgiveness and mercy through the act of sacrifice of His Only Begotten Son (Jesus Christ),
3) your desire to know God's leadership in your life,
4) your desire to learn more of God's truth through Bible study,
5) your desire to find fellowship with genuine believers.
When you’re saved, you’ll know Jesus is King of the Universe and the Lord of your life.
You’ll know the three faces of God Almighty: God The Father, God The Son, and God The Spirit. His Holy Light will start to be visible in your own face and actions!
Jesus said of the people of God that "The kingdom of heaven is like a net that God has cast into the sea, and it gathers of every kind: When it is full, it will be pulled up on the shore, where they will sit down to sort the catch, and they will collect the good fish in baskets, but the bad things will be thrown away. This is the way it will be at the end of the world: The angels shall come forth, and they will separate the unrighteous persons from among those justified by God. . ."
Excerpt from the book of Matthew, who was a constant companion of Jesus and his devoted disciple [13:47-50].
Jesus spoke of the people of God as being like a seed that is growing secretly, saying, "As for the kingdom of God, it is as if a person should cast seed into the ground; and then he sleeps, and he rises up night and day to see that the seed is springing forth and always growing up, although he knows not exactly how. The Earth is bringing forth fruit from itself; first the blade, then the ears of corn, and after that the fullness of the ears of corn. And when all the fruit of the Earth has come forth, immediately God will use the sickle to reap the fields, because the harvest-time has come."
Excerpt from the book of Mark [4:26-29].
It's also important for all of us to remember this:
1) WE SPEAK TO GOD by our prayers.
2) GOD SPEAKS TO US by the words of Holy Scripture.
So we must try to read His words and His Book just as often as we possibly can!!
God wants to bless you for all your long efforts to understand this very confusing and difficult Universe in which we live— so let Him reward your search with the grace of His forgiveness and enlightenment!
